One very simple and inexpensive way of treating lenses for scratch resistany by applying a silicone fil to the surface.
This film will let object slide off the surface instead of hooking on to it and producing scratches.

Just dip the lens once or twice for second or two. Remove and dry
Dip + Dry should not be used on uncoated Polycarbonate lenses as these materials have to have a hardcoat to protect their surface because of the softness of the basic material

A Primer, a caustic solution can be used for better adhesion. Just dip the lenses into solution for 5 to 10 minutes remove, wash and dry.

|
This product, being the least expensive of all the OMS scartch resistant treatments, if efficient, works well as has no shelf life whatsoever,
