Scratch resistant treatment combined with antifog and antistat action and total and permanent UV protection in a one step process. No more baking in an oven for a prolonged time and no more cooking in the tinting unit. You just zap it in a small amount of chemical in the microwave for 2 minutes and clean the lens . That’s it. Even the UV treatment will not result in a yellowish tinge but still absorb 99% without any windows at 400nm.

Pour a small quantity of the solution into a plastic dish. insert lenses with +side down. Put dish into a microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave, let lens cool down and wash under water tap. Measure uv transmission in your UV meter. The reading should be 1 or 2% transmission. The lens surface is now slippery for scratch protection including anti-fog and anti-stat properties. Any loss of solution is evaporated water and can be replaced. Use solution until UV transmission decreases.

Dispose through a chemical waste company or bring it to one of the periodic free municipal collections of chemicals.
