The Microwave Tinting System. Chris convinced me to try it out and since it has been very successful I feel it is only fair to give a fair review on it. I have been using it for about 6 months now. I find the tints are more accurate compared to the old tint pots. I can tint a lens in between 5 to 10 minutes. The benefits here is that I save a lot of electricity from the dye pots, it is very quick, healthier, and convenient. It is nice because I can dye five or six pairs in an hour while I edge. While you still handle the dye and get it on your skin, you do not get overboil, you do not have to handle hot tint, no holders falling in the tint and so forth.

The only thing I really learned was the importance of giving it a good mix. When you first grab the tint really shake it. When you go to heat it up, take a metal spoon and really stir it, including scrapping the bottom. If you do not the tint will not be as nice, if you do, no problem.

Definitely. I first tried the Edgit it (product that prevents poly from cracking in rimlesses) and since then I have used several products the company has offered.
